Bi-Annual Workshops
Coming together to peer network and build enduring relationships and connections is a key element of the IGPTN philosophy. To achieve this the IGPTN hosts twice yearly face to face workshops in rotating locations around Australia.
The IGPTN workshops are exclusive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander GP and RG trainees who are working towards a Fellowship in General Practice or Rural Generalism. These workshops are bursting with activities including medical education, exam preparation, clinical skills development, yarning and networking. Community and cultural immersion are also major components of workshops to enable deeper understanding of needs, celebrate strengths and provide space to heal.
The IGPTN workshops provide integrative peer mentoring with many IGPTN Fellows invited along to support current trainees. Workshops also provide opportunities to network and foster relationships with high profile ACRRM and RACGP staff and allies.
IGPTN has proudly supported many trainees throughout their training journeys to achieve Fellowship of ACRRM and/or RACGP. This activity is fully funded by IGPTN and through generous sponsorship.
