  • How has IGPTN made a difference to you and  your training? I felt supported by IGPTN and all the other registrars when going through my training. The additional resources and workshops were key to my success through the exams. 
  • What is the impact of IGPTN on training and workforce equity for mob? IGPTN provides culturally safe and essential support for Aboriginal registrars to get through fellowship exams. 
  • What is the impact of IGPTN on health for mob? Supports Indigenous doctors to get through fellowship exams therefore providing mob with GP specialists to provide culturally safe care.

 When I was in medical school in first year,  I heard from a GP registrar at the time during an education evening. She was a young single mother and she was sharing her experiences of getting through medical school. She stated something that I haven’t forgotten. 

She stated ‘That the only reasons you won’t succeed are the ones that you create’.
